CBD American Shaman of Coppell is now offering monthly CBD 101 classes to local communities around Coppell, TX. The classes, taught by an experienced CBD educator, covers the health effects that CBD offers along with information on current legislation and samples of products for students aged over eighteen, to test.
CBD American Shaman of Coppell today announced that the launch of its new CBD 101 classes was a success, with many people attending each of the classes so far, with the next class scheduled for 21 March at 6:30PM.
The class is designed to help people better understand CBD with education on all aspects of the industry, from understanding where CBD comes from through to understanding the labels and ever-changing legislation in an informal, friendly session which deals in the facts and science behind the movement.
“We believe that education and knowledge are imperative to helping those on a healing journey looking to improving their daily life, which is why we started offering these CBD 101 classes,” said Joann Mester, speaking on behalf of the company.

The classes are to be held at CBD America Shaman of Coppell store (located on 230 N Denton Tap Road in Coppell, TX) and will be hosted by Amanda Hughes-Munson, an instructor at DFW Academy of Cannabis Science. The next class commences on 21 March at 6:30PM.
Hughes-Munson is also a licensed esthetician and owner of Skintelligence Texas, a corrective skin care clinic in Dallas. Her own interest in CBD supplements began after a multiple-year battle against a sore throat and suffering from low energy; after being fired by her doctor for exploring alternative therapies and rejecting conventional medicine. Now recovered, she is a dedicated educator and advocate of the medical properties of the hemp plant.
CBD has been the topic of much academic research in recent years, with multiple studies indicating the significant benefits that the compound offers through the terpenes found in its biological makeup. According to academic research, such as this 2017 study from South Korea’s Konkuk University, terpenes are a group of hydrocarbon compounds, around 200 variants of which have been found in CBD, which can in some cases provide health benefits to users.
These effects include physical ones such as pain relief and anti-inflammatory relief, while mental effects can relieve common issues such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, and stress. The South Korean study built on findings from an earlier article by Ethan B. Russo in the British Journal of Pharmacology, written in 2011.
