VoiceNation among companies increasing workforce during COVID-19

04/08/2020 15:00 - United States, Georgia, Buford - (PR Distribution™)

April 8, Buford, Georgia – COVID-19 is shaking the U.S. economy and the unemployment rate is increasing as the virus spreads across the nation. However, some companies are finding their goods and services in demand more than ever.  VoiceNation announces that due to a surge in the need for live answering services, the company will be hiring additional staff this month.

With businesses shifting toward working remotely, the need for call answering has increased in order to maintain normal business operations. VoiceNation’s 24/7 live answering service is able to serve small businesses across the country by taking messages, forwarding calls, answering customer frequently asked questions and more.

“Many small businesses are having to close their doors temporarily or change the way they do business, which has created a high demand for VoiceNation’s telephone answering services,” said VoiceNation Vice President of Operations Eric Schurke.

VoiceNation is hiring more customer service representatives, as well as corporate positions in IT, finance and accounting.

“Just because we are hiring doesn’t mean we haven’t been impacted by this terrible pandemic.  We have had to act quickly and investheavily in additional equipment and resources to protect our small business clients who we answer their phone calls for.  We also have had to change our model and outfit one hundred percent of our staff to work remotely,” “Schurke said.

VoiceNationrecently announced its partnership with several major television networks to assist in the FCC re-scan requirements.  During the re-scan effort, those affected may call the network affiliates with questions on how to re-scan and why it is necessary.  With millions of households impacted by this change in frequency,  VoiceNation has been selected to assist with the high call volumes and their highly trained operators will be equipped with the custom script to answer consumer questions.

VoiceNation’s award-winning, proprietary software is one of the key drivers behind company's ability to grow and quickly scale up operations for large ad response campaigns such as the FCC re-scan one that will run through July 2020.

VoiceNation joins many other companies that are having to increase workforce during COVID-19. According to a recent article published on LinkedIn, those companies include:

Instacart

Walmart

Amazon

CVS Health

Dollar General

Pizza Hut

Lower’s

Dollar Tree

Walgreens

7-Eleven

Kroger

This is not small-scale hiring, either. These major brands are looking to increase their workforce by tens of thousands to meet consumer demand due to COVID-19.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to be in a position to help our small business clients stay afloat during this challenging time and hope we can play a small part in their efforts to get back to business as usual,” Schurke said.
