Facial masks reduce spread of COVID-19

4/29/2020 — Trinity Dental Centers is donating 10,000 facial masks to help the community stay safe and combat the spread of the novel coronavirus. Masks are available to anyone at each of their 13 dental centers during business hours. To ensure the safety of maximum number of people, each individual is limited to 2 masks.

Trinity Dental Centers prides itself in investing in the community by providing caring and affordable dentistry that helps people maximize their overall health.

“In these times we are concerned for the safety of our community, patients, and team members. We feel that doing this will give our community access to items that keep them safe.” said Dr. Amjad Sheikh, owner and founder of Trinity Dental Centers.

As Houston begins a partial re-opening of stores, malls, restaurants, movie theaters, libraries and state parks, facial masks have become mandatory for all to minimize the spread of COVID-19.

Limiting the Spread of COVID-19

The CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies) especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.

Current studies suggest that COVID-19 can be spread by asymptomatic carriers of the disease. Using cloth face covers is an effective way to cut down on the number of new infections. Stop by a Trinity Dental practice today and pick up your mask!
