ThreeBestRated® Award-winning Roofing Contractors suggest roofing materials that suit Canadian weather

02/21/2020 10:00 - Canada - (PR Distribution™)

The roof under which we live is the fundamental part of our home. Investing an ample amount of our time in choosing the best quality roofing for our home is very important. From blizzards and torrential rains to Scorching heat and deadly tornadoes, Canada is a country that experiences harsh weather conditions in each season all around the year. Roofing that withstands all kinds of weather conditions would be the best choice for a homeowner to make. ThreeBestRated® felt that an expert advice on the type of roofing that stands undeterred throughout Canada's hard weather would benefit many of us.

ThreeBestRated® has interviewed ThreeBestRated® award-winning roofing contractors from three different regions of Canada to get some insight on the best roofing for Canadian weather. Each one of them shares their opinion and recommendations on top-quality roofing for typical Canadian weather through their experience. The roofing experts are Vanity roofing from Ottawa, ON, Alpineroofs.CA from Nanaimo, BC, and Hubbard Roofing & Exteriors Inc from Calgary, AB.

"We provide three different materials to withstand Ottawa's harsh weather.", says Kevin Dao of the vanity roofing. Those are:

Asphalt Architectural Shingle -  It has a wind resistance of 130MPH. The dual-layered design makes it stronger and gives a modern 3D look. The shingles don't fade or stain over time as it is resistant to algae. It also has a Class A fire-resistance rating.

Modified Bitumen (Commercial Flat Roof) - It contains Polymer-modified bitumen reinforced with one or more piles of fabric such as polyester, fiberglass, or combination of both. The torch on roofing method is used for the installation. It is the best method for Canada's severe weather.

Metal Roofing - This type of roofing is environment-friendly, which contains 90% of recycled material, and is 100% recyclable at the end of its life. And its constituents keep the homes cool in summer. Metal Roofing is lighter than asphalt shingle by approximately 1/3.

Vanity roofing is one of the ThreeBestRated® award-winning roofing contractors in Ottawa, ON, and a recipient of several awards and recognitions. They are certified Select Shingle Master from CertainTeed, which is the top 1% of the industry. They provide a 50-year manufacturer's warranty and 20-year workmanship.

Kelly Mathews owns the Alpineroofs.ca. In his opinion, there is no one "best type of roofing" for all weather conditions. However, he suggests Metal roofing and Fiberglass shingle roofing. The former is known for its fantastic longevity. While in most cases, a fiberglass shingle roof offers the best mix of quality and price. It is aesthetically pleasing and needs low maintenance. Fiberglass is the most commonly used shingle in North America.

Kelly started the Alpineroofs.ca in 2005 and has been doing remarkable roofing works since then. He is a proponent of Canadian materials and suppliers, because of the quality, and the service. He feels that his firm's commitment to quality and customer service sets them apart from its competitors. The Alpineroofs.ca is a ThreeBestRated® award-winning roofing firm in Nanaimo, BC.

Jessy Yasinski, Marketing Manager of Hubbard Roofing, recommends Impact Resistant (IR) shingles. IR shingles are engineered to provide superior protection against wind and water penetration. They hold a UL 2218 Class 4 Impact Resistance Rating against hail, which is the highest designation. Jessy says, "Hailstorms are a fact of life for Albertans, and it is important that your home is protected." It was noted at the TDI symposium that asphalt shingles designated as Class 4 under the UL standard hold up very well against 95% of all hailstorms experienced.

Hubbard Roofing & Exteriors is a family-owned and operated business. They have been in the roofing business for 35 years and are working hard to change the stigma of the construction industry by building trust with their customers and treating everyone like they are part of their own family. Each of their customers is assigned a Project Manager who oversees the project from start to finish and is available to answer any questions regarding timing, materials, our processes, etc. Hubbard roofing company has created an edge over its  competitors through its excellent customer service and warranty. They are also a recipient of the ThreeBestRated® award for being one of the best roofing companies in Calgary, AB.
