02/07/2019 06:00 - SINGER ISLAND, FL - (PR Distribution™)

Pivot Treatment and Wellness Centers is a new alcohol and substance abuse recovery facility located in South Florida’s, resort community of Singer Island.  Pivot, was co-founded by Dr. Jacob Elefant and On-Air Personality, Strategist and Author, Tanya Young Williams. “We entered this space because there is a desperate need to not only make people sober, but to make them well. Our proprietary Peace, Passion, Purpose Curriculum helps clients identify and modify the underlying problems that have led to filling a void with alcohol or drugs,” said Young Williams, CEO of Pivot.

The drug and opioid crisis is real. According to the Surgeon General's Spotlight on Opioids, In 2017, 11.1 million people, aged 12 and older, had misused prescription pain reliever in the past year.  In 2017, 1.7 million people, aged 12 and older, had a prescription pain reliever use disorder in the past year. In 2017, 953,000 people received treatment for the abuse of opioids. In 2017, about 886,000 people aged 12 and older reported having using heroine in the past year.  “We understand that these numbers under-represent the crises that really exist in our country, in our neighborhoods, and in our homes. We have a program that can PIVOT people's lives and turn things around. We really believe in it!” said Elefant.

Pivot provides services for drug and alcohol dependency and co-occurring issues. Services are delivered in a private, upscale treatment setting using evidence based treatment methods. Pivot centers take a contemporary view of the disease of addiction by offering its clients the “Pivot Experience”. The Pivot Experience includes revolutionary therapeutic exercises, empowering and entertaining excursions, beautiful accommodations and long-term support.

Pivot’s proprietary Peace, Passion and Purpose Curriculum is Pivot’s 12 Pillars of Wellness program working in tandem with the well-established 12 Steps program, to assist in the clients’ sobriety and wellness. Pivots 12 Pillars of Wellness incorporates the industry's gold-standard, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Dimensions of Wellness.  “At Pivot, it is important that we take what the industry has shown works like the 12 Steps and SAMHSA and take it to the next level. Too many people leave treatment sober but don’t leave well, and we are going to fix that problem. We owe it to the families.” said Young Williams.

Pivot is a discrete and private facility, with private rooms available.  It offers housekeeping, chef prepared meals, gym privileges, a heated pool and a private beach.  Pivot accepts most insurances and has an affordable cash pay option. “In light of our accommodations and pioneering therapeutic services offered, we could charge the same fees as comparable treatment facilities.  However, we endeavor to heal more people by charging a far less out-of-pocket fee and work very hard with insurance carriers to cover expenses for our clients' wellness.” said Young Williams.
