The Launch of 5Fin Clothing Gives Back 5% For the Ocean

Introduced this September at Surf Expo in Orlando Florida, the 5Fin Clothing line embodies a commitment to ocean conservation and a conscious awareness for the preservation of our resources. Five percent of all 5Fin company sales will be donated to the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) and other organizations that help to ensure a sustainable coastal environment.Every blade of seagrass planted, oyster bed restored, and fish released back into the ocean are steps toward 5Fin’s Ocean First Mission.

Partnership in Conservation 

5Fin represents a unique network of ocean enthusiasts. Parent company AFTCO provides 60 years of quality products in the saltwater fishing industry, a legacy of conservation first business and a fine-tuned expertise in the production of fishing shirts and other fishing products. 5Fin’s major conservation partner, the Coastal Conservation Association provides scientific know-how and manpower. The CCA’s more than 120,000 members are spread across local chapters in 17 coastal states where they are already diligently working on grassroots conservation efforts. 

Beginning February 2019, conservation-minded retailers will enable the funding of these efforts. Five percent of the sales of 5Fin product to each dealer will be donated to the CCA and other organizations on behalf of the retailer who made that donation possible. Donated funds will support efforts to build artistical reef, initiation of scientific studies, and more from local CCA chapters, 5Fin will enable everyday ocean enthusiasts to voice their support for ocean conservation.
