Next-Gen Test Gear for Gfast Performance Testing
Telebyte, Inc., the leader in Gfast physical layer test solutions, today announced the release of the world’s first passive Gfast local loop simulators. The Model 800-1-212-TP100 Series of products are designed for realistic and repeatable performance testing of Gfast devices.
These one-channel, 240MHz simulators are offered in a variety of loop lengths (e.g., 200m, 400m, 424m) and increments (e.g., 25m, 1m), including one model that is fully compliant with the single-channel performance tests defined in the Broadband Forum’s WT-380 Gfast Performance Test Plan. Other highlights include a low noise floor, control via GUI or CLI and support for devices utilizing Reverse Power Feeding.
Based upon TP100 wire, they simulate attenuation, impedance, group delay and DC resistance. In addition, Telebyte’s passive design (with a noise floor of less than -160 dBm/Hz) is ideal for Rate-Reach performance testing of Gfast.
