Tarps Become High Demand with The Second Wave of COVID-19

2020-07-15 09:00:00 - United States, Texas, Austin - (PR Distribution™)

The demand for tarps increases worldwide as retail outlets across the United States implement mandates requiring social distancing.   Consumer-grade tarps have become essential now more than ever as government agencies and private companies are starting to use plastic poly tarps for temporary room dividers. Florida, Arizona, Texas, California, and Oklahoma are just some states reporting record numbers of coronavirus cases.

More than 64,000 new infections were reported nationwide on July 15. As of July 14, 2020, 133,000 Americans have died of COVID-19.  Medical agencies are getting overflowed and need tarps for temporary room dividers, separating patient sections to protect the spread of the virus in close quarters. The CDC chief Robert Redfield says masks could hold the outbreak in 4 to 6 weeks.  Many people object to wearing masks or social distancing. My BioSource surveyed 7500 adults across the US and found that 39% of Texans broke the rules above the national average of 36% One in three Texans admit to breaking cover 19 social distancing rules a survey finds

A large restaurant in Los Angeles has set up clear tarps in its dining area in order to service more customers and apply social distancing.  Founder and CEO Michael Stein of Tarps Plus said, “ we have increased our inventory of poly tarps which seem to be the desired type of tarp for temporary room partitions.”

As Disney World in Florida has re-opened, they have practiced 6-foot separations between guests in lines.  Plexiglass and tarp partitions for rides and registers and shops have been set up. Masks are also mandatory except for eating.

Many businesses use clear tarps framed by self-standing metal poles to separate patrons for a safer environment. The plastic tarp material attaches to the frame via bungee cords through the grommets.

More innovations are likely as small business owners seek to offer a safe environment for customers.
