SwanLeap Named to Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s SDCE 100 Top Supply Chain Projects for 2019

06/25/2019 13:00 - MADISON, WI - (PR Distribution™)

Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the executive's user manual for successful supply and demand chain transformation, has selected SwanLeap as a recipient of a 2019 SDCE 100 Award for the company’s success in improving supply chain efficiencies and cutting transportation costs for a leading snack and ingredient nut manufacturer. The SDCE 100 is an annual list of 100 great supply chain projects. These projects can serve as a map for supply chain executives who are looking for new opportunities to drive improvement in their own operations. These projects show how supply chain solution and service providers help their customers and clients achieve supply chain excellence and prepare their supply chains for success.

SwanLeap executed TMS deployment across four locations with WMS and ERP integration alongside a custom-built dock scheduler in 18 days. The client was utilizing a 3PL and their provided TMS, which was costing them in visibility, control and bloated rates. Additionally, the client only had access to the carrier network provided by the 3PL. As a result of transitioning to SwanLeap’s TMS, the client now has access to SwanLeap’s mode-agnostic carrier network which enables every shipment to be shopped across every mode guaranteeing the best rates in real-time. The client was struggling with dock visibility and carriers not wanting to take loads due to long detention times. SwanLeap custom built a dock scheduling and management tool which surpassed the offering of their previous solution in flexibility and capacity.

By leveraging SwanLeap’s system and services, the client is on track to meet its cost savings goal of $1.25 million. In addition, the client is experiencing the benefits of being known as a “shipper of choice”. By partnering with SwanLeap, the client is now maintaining and exceeding its strict On Time In Full requirements. With SwanLeap’s Lightning Integration, clients can be up and running one day.

“SwanLeap has done an absolutely remarkable job of making a rough, fast-paced transition smooth in comparison to our last transition. We stacked all of the odds against us and pulled it off as a team. Our team says they now have a system better than our previous. This was a great way to start a long-term partnership!
