Summit Automation’s Peak door automation system is prominently featured in The New American Home (TNAH) 2020, helping to bring architect Dan Coletti’s indoor/outdoor concept to life.

Hovering in the hills of custom home subdivision Ascaya, TNAH 2020 boasts 360-degree views of the mountains, desert and glittering Las Vegas skyline. With the premier location in mind, Coletti and Sun West Homes designed a space that brings a little of the inside out, and the outside in.
At the heart of the design is the indoor/outdoor kitchen. Using one Summit Automation Peak door system, four door panels slide past a granite counter top and right into a pocket. The counter top then slides to cover the pocket, making the crossover from indoors to outdoors nearly seamless, and all in approximately 40 seconds with the push of a button.
“We really stretched the boundaries yet again,” commented Dan Coletti, President of Sun West Homes. “It was very awesome to partner with Summit Automation on their automated door system… It feels cool when the doors are closed, and it feels even more cool when the doors are open.”
TNAH, sponsored by the National Association of Home Builders, is a pinnacle of the home building industry and known to feature cutting-edge products and innovative construction. A total of three Peak automation systems were used in the home, each taking about one day to install.
This is not the first time Coletti has utilized Summit Automation to execute his indoor/outdoor concept. Summit Automation and Sun West Homes have worked together pushing design trends in the Las Vegas area for nearly seven years.
