Jason Diamond, with 30 plus years of industry experience, joins Spartan Capital Securities LLC (SCS) as Head of Investment Banking and Managing Director. Mr. Diamond was Head of Investment Banking at Drexel Hamilton specializing in transactions for both public and private companies including buy-side and sell-side M&A, private placement of debt and equity, registered direct equity offerings, as well as executing large block trades. During his career, Mr. Diamond has held various positions in institutional bond trading, equity research and investment banking. Previously, he was Head of Equity Investment Banking and Director of Corporate Finance for Cohen & Company Capital Markets, LLC, prior to which he was a Partner and Director of Investment banking at Capstone Investments. Before assuming leadership of Capstone’s Investment Banking department, Mr. Diamond built Capstone’s research and institutional sales departments and was named a 5-star analyst in the Zack’s All-Star Analyst Survey four times. Mr. Diamond completed the Kellogg School of Management’s Finance for Executives Program.
Kyle Hansen, M.D.,
Dr. Hansen currently practices medicine in Milwaukee, WI where he served as President of a private practice Emergency Medicine group. In addition to maintaining his medical practice, he advises Banking on biotechnology and medical due diligence matters, and deal placement. Previously, Dr. Hansen was senior medical advisor at Drexel Hamilton, Cohen & Company Capital Markets and Capstone Investments. Dr. Hansen received his Medical Degree from The Chicago Medical School and completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2003. Dr. Hansen is a retired U.S. Army Major who served in Iraq.
Robert L. Malin
Prior to joining Spartan Capital Securities, Mr. Malin was a partner and Head of Equity Capital Markets for WR Hambrecht & Co. where he executed the firm’s first successful Reg A+ IPOs. He advises issuer clients on deal structure, strategy and process, and has marketed live transactions to a broad network of investors and syndicate partners.
Previously, Mr. Malin spent over seven years at Nasdaq and Nasdaq Private Market developing deep market structure expertise and practitioner’s knowledge of listings, capital formation and secondary market trading. From 2007-2012, Mr. Malin was with Liquidnet where he launched and lead the firm’s equity capital markets (ECM) business. He won Liquidnet’s first ECM mandates from PE and VC firms plus frequent public issuers, including market-leading REITs. Early in his Wall Street career, Mr. Malin worked for Credit Suisse, Barclays and Lehman Brothers where he originated, traded and sold corporate debt to institutional investor clients. Mr. Malin earned his MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business and his undergraduate degree in government from Dartmouth College.
