“Clap for Corona Carers” Event Monday, March 23, 2020 

LOS ANGELES—A social media groundswell of support for U.S. coronavirus first responders and front line workers has resulted in a planned event of simultaneous applause across the country. 

 

* Twitter user https:///www.twitter.com/InRealLife10 mobilized social media last week to organize a nationwide event of applause and gratitude for Coronavirus health care workers, first responders, and all Coronavirus frontline workers

* This follows what has been so successful in Italy, Spain, and other countries

* The event is scheduled in the U.S. for March 23, 2020 at 6 PM Pacific/9 PM Eastern

* People can open their windows or doors, step out on their balconies, etc., for simultaneous clapping across the nation to honor those risking their lives

* In addition, this event is to honor not only health care workers but also pharmacists, police force, firefighters, grocers, drivers, and all workers toiling day and night, risking their health and safety, on the Coronavirus frontline, to keep America safe during this crisis
