San Diego County Wants To Ban Natural Pain Reliever Thousands of San Diegans Rely On

02/10/2020 00:00 - SAN DIEGO, CA - (PR Distribution™)

The San Diego County Board of Supervisors is going after kratom. The board is meeting on Tuesday Feb. 11th at 8:30am PST to criminalize and ban kratom in the unincorporated areas of San Diego County. The agenda item appears to have been added to the schedule by Supervisor Dianne Jacobs and Sheriff Bill Gore. Kratom is a plant from southeast Asia that has become wildly popular in the United States in the last ten years due its pain relieving and mood enhancing properties. Many kratom users have reported getting off highly addictive and deadly opioid pain medications through their use of the kratom plant. On the other hand the US Food & Drug Administration has expressed serious concerns about kratom and its use by many as medicine. It is the information provided by the FDA that local San Diego politicians and law enforcement are apparently relying on in their recommendation that the sale and possession of kratom be criminalized.

Whether you are in the pro-kratom camp or prohibition camp, please attend the board meeting at the address below to have your voice heard by your representatives. You can also send the board an email using the link here.
