ST. LOUIS, MO.— HOLT Electrical Supplies, one of the region’s leading electrical distributors, announced that the company has undergone a leadership transition to position the organization for the next phase of growth.
Ryan Holtzman has stepped into the role of Chief Executive Officer, and Sylvan Holtzman has assumed the role of Chairman.
“We are making this transition to bring more clarity to our roles going forward,” said Sylvan Holtzman. “While I am still very much involved in the business, my role will be more strategic—developing our long term growth strategy, emerging and potential markets, fiduciary responsibilities, and managing real estate, among other things.”
As CEO, Ryan’s focus will be on running the day-to-day operations, leading development of long- and short-term strategies, creating and reinforcing the company mission and vision, community outreach, charitable efforts and more.
HOLT Electrical Supplies has been in business since 1960, when Sam Holtzman founded the company. His son Sylvan joined in the early 1970s. Ryan, Sylvan’s son, later joined the business as VP of Operations.
“Those before me at the helm have survived the best and most trying of times, and I am sure this next chapter will have its fair share of both,” said Ryan Holtzman. “I am so proud of who HOLT is and I’m confident in our future. I can only imagine my grandfather's reaction if he knew the company he started over almost 60 years ago is not only still here, but still growing, with over 80 teammates and over 400 customers.”
