Regina Davis selected for the Lifetime Achievement Award by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP)

Regina Davis, Author of Lord Computesalot, Ruler of Aurora Bullyalis, and His Secret Quest to End Bullying; Lord Computesalot’s Quintessential Quest to Banish Bullies; and Senor Smarty Pantaloons and the Mystery of the Missing Teachers, was just recently selected for the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for 2019 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP), for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the industry.  

While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few members are selected for the Lifetime Achievement Award.These special honorees are distinguished based on their longevity in their fields, their contributions they have made to society and the impact they had on their industries.Regina will be honored at IAOTP’s annual award gala at the end of this year at the Plaza Hotel where she will be honored not only for the Lifetime Achievement Award, but also for her selection as Top Children’s Author of the Year for 2018. www.iaotp.com/award-gala

Regina is being recognized for this honor for dedicating close to 40 years of her life to educating children and for her efforts to put an end to bullying. Regina has demonstrated success not only with her teaching career, but also with her poetry and co-authoring her children’s book series.Regina and co-author/illustrator Carolyn Royer Spencer spoke from personal experience in their writing.Their two recently published works in this series focus on the topic of bullying, a growing epidemic that is haunting our schools, worksites, online media, pretty much everywhere.Regina’s published works are an excellent resource for anyone that works with children especially teachers, guidance counselors, parents, grandparents etc.In addition to writing, Regina and Carolyn speak on radio interviews about their anti-bullying books, and host anti-bullying assemblies and readings at local schools.It is their sincere wish to show how bullying affects all ages and how destructive it can be to an individual’s physical and psychological well-being.The pair hope that they can open up dialogue on the problem of bullying, which has become an epidemic in our society.

Regina received her Master’s from Hofstra University and her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from St. John’s University.The President of IAOTP, Stephanie Cirami, stated “Choosing Regina for this award was an easy decision for our panel to make.She is talented, humble, gracious, and brilliant at what she does.We felt she would make an amazing asset to our organization and feel that when it comes to bullying, it is an international problem that needs to be addressed and should be given an international platform.We are looking forward to meeting her at the gala and know we will be seeing more amazing things from this amazing woman.” 

Throughout her illustrious career Regina has received awards, accolades and has been recognized worldwide for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the profession. For 2019 Regina and her Co-Author Carolyn Royer-Spencer will grace the front cover of TIP (Top Industry Professional ) Magazine.The pair also were selected for the Lifetime Achievement Award by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).For 2018 she was selected as Top Children’s Author of the Year by IAOTP and Outstanding Professional of the Year by Bristol Who’s Who, Madison Who’s Who and Continental Who’s Who. She was also named Reading Teacher of the Year at Newtown Road Elementary in Virginia Beach. Her most recent book “Lord Computesalot, Ruler of Aurora Bullyalis, and His Secret Quest to End Bullying has been featured in “The Daily News,” and received Honorable Mention at the 2013 J M Northern Halloween Book Festival in Hollywood.All three of her anti-bullying books have been featured in “The Virginian Pilot” newspaper and the Close-Up Newsletter.Along with her co-author and illustrator Carolyn Royer Spencer, she was featured in a series of radio interviews with Jim Masters of Close-Up TV/News Radio. Regina is a Board Member of the Cape Charles Historical Society, member of the Red Hats, International Reading Association, Virginia Beach Education Association, and National Education Association.

Looking back, Regina attributes her success to her training, her perseverance, mentors she has had along the way, and her passion for what she does.She enjoys reading, writing and travelling.For the future, she will continue to grow as a professional and wants to continue to make a difference in people’s lives any way she can.
