New sustainably-minded homegoods brand wins prestigious iF Design Award for the Proclamation Duo, now shipping nationwide
Proclamation Goods Co., the cookware brand inspiring home chefs to “Cook For Good” with thoughtful and responsibly-sourced kitchen essentials, has earned a 2020 iF DESIGN AWARD for its flagship product, the Proclamation Duo. This accolade comes just as the first batch of the carbon steel configuration of the Duo has begun shipping to customers nationwide. Starting today, home cooks everywhere can make their Proclamation and order the award-winning cookware kit for immediate shipment.
The Proclamation Duo earned the internationally-renowned design distinction from the world’s oldest independent design organization, iF International Forum Design GmbH, based in Hannover, Germany. Selected by a jury of 78 design experts from around the globe, the Proclamation Duo rose to the top of the 7,298 other submissions this year, chosen for its innovative, versatile hybrid design that allows home chefs to cook across a world of cuisines while embracing minimalism for their kitchens and sustainability for the environment.
“We’re passionate about creating thoughtful, versatile designs with personality that weren’t previously available in the market, and we are thrilled to be recognized by such a highly-regarded design authority for that work,” said Tony Leo, Proclamation Goods’ Chief Product Officer. “We are excited to get the Duo into the hands of foodies, families, minimalists, and eco-conscious people everywhere. Proclamation Good’s goal is to get everyone into the kitchen and inspire them to cook more with less, and I have no doubt our award-winning design will do just that!”
The Proclamation Duo is the brand’s first product, created to challenge the notion that you need a bloated 10-piece set of cookware to be successful in the kitchen, and instead empowering home chefs to cook more with less. It is a two pan cookware kit that includes the 12” sidekick Skillet and 7QT hybrid Pot, plus a matching lid, designed to stand alone or hinge together to create a Dutch oven while cooking and nest together in a streamlined stack when dinner’s done.
Proclamation Goods’ mission is to inspire customers to “Cook For Good” with products that are crafted in the USA, use responsibly-sourced materials, are free from toxic coatings, and come with a lifetime warranty. That ethos also extends to the brand itself: Proclamation Goods is a proud member of 1% For The Planet and is committed to using its success to support sustainable agriculture and access to nutritious food for all.
“The direct-to-consumer cookware category is, literally, heating up right now, but we founded Proclamation Goods to do things a bit differently,” said Chris Burrage, CEO of Proclamation Goods. “We didn’t reinvent cookware, just reimagined how much of it you need, and we made sure that we created a product and a brand that we can all feel good about, from the uniqueness of the design and performance of the pans to the ethos behind the way we choose to grow our business while creating positive social change for our food system. At Proclamation, we walk our talk, and we hope we can inspire home cooks everywhere to do the same.”
