New York City Drone Film Festival Announces Move to Virtual Event

2020-07-20 16:00:00 - New York City, NY, United States - (PR Distribution™)

The 6th Annual New York City Drone Film Festival will be an online event in 2020.

The NYCDFF announced that the annual festival — originally scheduled to be held July 25-26 at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, NJ — will now be a completely virtual experience this year due to safety concerns amid the COVID-19 pandemic.. The online version of the festival will take place Oct. 24, 2020.

“We decided to go all digital,” said NYCDFF founder and director Randy Scott Slavin. “We’re going to have a kick-ass show filled with the best drone films in the world, as usual.”

The film festival will be streamed live online. Additionally, presentations from a variety of experts and professionals in the drone industry will be made available for online viewing on Oct. 25.

In early 2020, the New York City Drone Film Festival was acquired by AirVuz.com, the premier website for drone video content. To celebrate the acquisition, submissions to the 2020 New York City Drone Film Festival are free when uploaded to AirVuz.com. The submission deadline for the 2020 festival has been pushed back to Aug. 8, 2020.

The New York City Drone Film Festival is the world's first event exclusively dedicated to celebrating the art of drone cinematography.

Since launching in 2015, Minneapolis-based AirVuz has become the world’s leading drone video and photography sharing platform and global community for drone pilots and aerial media enthusiasts. AirVuz is the place where drone content creators can get the best exposure for their work and connect with fellow pilots from around the world.
