Bryan B Solstin submitted an accelerated examination patent application to The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The Laminar Inducing Apparatus (LIA) ensures laminar airflow and improved acoustic attenuation to a propulsion fan or a turbine engine for a greater number of flight conditions, angles of attack and improved safety from bird strike and other Foreign Object Debris (FOD) ... especially during Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL), when FOD ingestion is most common. Small reductions in turbulence to the fan or turbo engine have significant impact. Range is extended and emissions are reduced.
