Roofs For Teachers will be supplying free roofs to one of America’s most important workers
Minneapolis, MN—5-27-20---Teachers in America have long been underpaid, and at times, even undervalued.
However, recent initiatives and an increase in advocacy for teachers has placed this issue front and center. In fact, according to the Washington Post, 2 out of every 3 Americans believe that public teachers are underpaid. According to this same WaPo article, most Americans also say they would support public teachers if they went on strike for better wages.
But there is still much work to do to ensure that teachers get the pay and support they deserve. Because of this, businesses are trying to do their part to help teachers out—especially in these unprecedented times—by creating initiatives like Roofs For Teachers.
“Growing up, I always wanted to be a teacher,” says Roofing Insights owner Dmitry Lipinskiy, who is the mastermind behind Roofs For Teachers.
“And I’ve always had a respect and admiration for what they do,” continues Lipinskiy, whose sister is a teacher in Russia. “That’s why we created Roofs For Teachers, to give back to the people who give so much but are often underappreciated.”
Roofs For Teachers aims to give a free roof each month to a teacher in need. People can nominate their favorite teachers by simply reaching out to Roofing Insights through any of the roofing company’s social media platforms. In your message, include the name of the teacher, where they live, and why they are deserving of a new roof.
“We’ll be working with roofing contractors in the teachers’ locations, as well as covering the cost ourselves,” says Lipinskiy. “We’re looking forward to rewarding some hardworking teachers for their efforts across the country through Roofs For Teachers, and we’re excited to get started.”
