Nader Gebrin selected as Top Chef of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP)

Nader Gebrin, World Renowned Chef, Top Celebrity Chef and Owner/Founder of the 5-star restaurant Bravo Naders in Huntington, New York was recently selected as Top Chef of the Year for 2020 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for his extraordinary culinary skills and devotion to the food service industry.

While inclusion in the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, longevity in the field, other affiliations, and contributions to their communities.  All honorees are invited to attend IAOTP’s Annual Award Gala at the end of this year for a night to honor their achievements.

With over three decades of professional experience, Mr. Gebrin has certainly proven himself as a talented chef and culinary master of perfection. Currently, he is the Owner and Founder of the 5-star restaurant Bravo Nader. His previous work experiences include several high-profile NYC restaurants and he held various positions in the Marriott in Cairo, Egypt his native country.

 

Nader’s passion for food began at a young age. He had the privilege of learning his craft at the prestigious Culinary Academy in Lucerne, Switzerland.  He attended school in Cairo for Hotel and Restaurant Management, where he graduated with honors. Nader went on to fulfill his lifelong dream of working as a Chef in America and moved to New York with virtually no money. 

While working amongst some of the most prominent chefs, Nader was able to hone his skills and create a name for himself. After leaving Manhattan, he ventured out to Huntington, Long Island where he had the opportunity to share his cuisine with the community. Next, he took another huge risk and opened Bravo Nader in 1996. He has been fortunate to serve this area over the past 20 years and has solidified, Bravo Nader, as one of the most sought-after hidden gem restaurants on Long Island. 

Mr. Gebrin is an avid fisherman, who has fished worldwide. Often the “Catch of the Day” served at his restaurant is something he caught himself. Nader, is the designated chef for Fisherman Magazine. He regularly does live cooking videos online that demonstrates how to prepare fresh fish so it tastes its best. 

For over a decade, Nader has been sharing his culinary secrets and teaching others how to cook. He hosts his popular cooking classes in the privacy of customer’s homes and within his restaurant. Throughout his notable career, Chef Nader was awarded as one of the “Top Celebrity Chefs” by the Long Island Press. Bravo Nader has consistently received awards and accolades from local and national press as one of Long Island’s Top Restaurants. For 2020, the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) will consider him for a feature in TIP (Top Industry Professionals) Magazine and he will also have the chance to be broadcast on the Reuters Building in Times Square, New York City. Nader will be honored at IAOTP’s Annual Awards Gala, being held at the Plaza Hotel in New York City for his selection as Top Chef of the Year for 2020.  

Looking back, Nader attributes his success to his education, mentors he had along the way and staying passionate through his commitment to the food service industry. Nader says he has been blessed. He loves doing what he is doing and feel this is just the beginning.
