Mortar Group, a New York based Real Estate Development firm has announced the launch of it's inaugural College Scholarship for 2021. The $10,000 Scholarship program was created to support local Tri-State area students, and is intended for first-generation American or Immigrant students graduating from high school and enrolling full-time in a four-year undergraduate college program starting Fall 2021.
“With a goal to recognize outstanding students and help them unlock their potential, the program was also created in honor of first-generation Americans that contribute so much to our community”, says Anthony Morena, Founder and Principal of Mortar Group. Aside from the financial need of the applicants, the program will consider students academic achievements in high school, and their demonstrations of leadership and personal growth.
Applications for this year's award will be accepted through August 15, 2021, and we anticipate announcing the scholarship winner on September 1st .
