Making College Affordable Again

08/30/2019 08:00 - United States, Oregon - (PR Distribution™)

Education consumers today rightly understand the importance of finding the right program, understanding tuition costs, and be wary of incurring excess debt even as they pursue programs that may transform their careers and life paths.

For the sixth year in a row, the U.S. Department of Education’s College Affordability and Transparency Center has ranked Sessions College among the top 10 schools in its category nationwide for low tuition. The College Affordability and Transparency Center (CATC) was established in 2011 by the U.S. Department of Education to provide better information to student and parent consumers about college costs.

According to Student Loan Hero, the average college student graduated in 2018 with $29,800 of private and public loan debt. By highlighting the most and least affordable colleges in the country, educated officials hoped to enlighten consumers and light a fire under schools to address college costs and student debt.

“We believe in affordability,” commented Sessions College CEO Doris Granatowski. “It’s our goal to provide an arts education that is not only high quality, flexible, and online – but also affordable for adult learners.”

Sessions College is committed to delivering excellence in online education and preparing students for professional careers in design. In 2018, 84% of Associate degree graduates reported being employed in a creative field related to their program.
