Macao Government Tourism Office USA hosts celebratory gala in Los Angeles
This December, Macao will be filled with celebratory festivals, parades, art displays and more to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of Macao Special Administrative Region. With a uniquely blended Portuguese and Chinese history, Macao’s sovereignty was peacefully transferred to the People’s Republic of China as a Special Administrative Region on December 20, 1999.
In the US, Macao will bring the celebrations to sunny Los Angeles on November 14th. Celebrating not only 20 years of a prosperous Macao S.A.R., but also a banner year for MGTO-USA partnerships, MGTO-USA will welcome US trade and media guests to the “Establishment of Macao S.A.R. 20th Anniversary Gala.” Held at Playa Studios, guests of the gala will enjoy a curated dinner by well-known Chef Telmo of Uma Casa, who recently trained in Macao, Macanese entertainment, prize giveaways and more.
