In commemoration, poet and creative, Monique Fitzpatrick, is celebrating the release of her poetry book releasing March 25th, 2020.
Monique Fitzpatrick has been writing poetry for as long as she can remember. From living in the Maryland/D.C. area to the big city borough of Brooklyn, New York, she has always been on the creative path and expressing herself through her words.
Fitzpatrick’s new poetry book, Energy, showcases her expressive nature and skill in linguistics with a collection of poems. Fitzpatrick expresses the elements of love, loss, and life, and offers an exploration of her heart through her poetry.
“Author Monique Fitzpatrick gives an honest and open atmosphere to her poetic works, with clear prose and beautiful imagery that conveys her true heart to her readership,” said K.C. Finn for Readers’ Favorite.
Not only did Fitzpatrick write her upcoming novel Energy, but she also self-published and is single-handedly working on getting her book in independent bookstores. Among the independent stores, she is striving for, Fitzpatrick will be holding a launch event for her book in a feminist bookstore and coffee shop.
While Energy will release on March 25th, the launch event will be on April 18th at Cafe Con Libros in Brooklyn. The launch event will consist of Fitzpatrick briefly discussing the book and then taking any questions. After, three of Fitzpatrick’s friends will take the stage to each read a poem that they love. Once everyone is done mingling after the event, an after-party will be held over at Good Life, which is also in Brooklyn, where music and dancing will ensue.
Be on the lookout for Fitzpatrick’s upcoming book
out March 25th. You’ll be able to see her in person not too long after to hear about her work more in-depth and dance the night away with her and her friends at the after-party!
