Local Maryland Artist, Liza Hathaway Matthews is creating a big impact with her artwork. Not only is she creating beautiful abstract art, she is now working with stores such as Anthropologie to create home interior products. Anthropologie recently released a new line of Liza’s designs entitled, ‘Rites of Spring,’ which include a Wall Mural and Fabric Lampshade.

In addition to working with Anthropologie, Liza collaborates with varies companies to create wallpapers, fabrics, pillows and other textile products. She is also working with Lema J Design to design a new line of one of a kind Chinoiserie cuffs. Lema J donates 100% of their profits to the Karma for Cara Foundation which tangibly helps leukemia patients and teaches our youth to give back to their communities. Working with Lema J offers Liza the ability to give back to the community and make a difference in the world through her artwork.

Liza Hathaway Matthews is a contemporary abstract artist who lives in Baltimore, Maryland with her husband and three children. Liza holds a BFA in Painting and Interior Design from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and has studied plein air and still life with members of the Shuler School Faculty. Her work has been featured in popular publications such as Art Galleries & Artists of the South, House Beautiful, domino, and Luxe Magazine. Liza is represented by The Art Registry Group, Robin & Robbins Art Consultants, G. Grace Gallery, Bozzuto Greene Art and Oriet’s Fine Art.
