02/18/2020 06:00 - TORONTO, ONTARIO - (PR Distribution™)

Jo-Anne Eadie, Owner and Director of her Company, Power of Freedom is a Board-Certified Master Consulting Hypnotherapist; Founder and Director of the Canadian Hypnosis Conference, and was recently selected as an Empowered Woman of the Year for 2020 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP). Her exemplary role as a female business professional in a male dominated industry displays her adaptability, tenacity and passion.

While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals as Top Hypnotist of the Year is an honor in itself, only a few women are chosen for this distinction based on their years of experience, professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities and contributions to their communities. With innovation and compassion, these women empower others to achieve greater success, while creating change for future generations.

Ms. Eadie is being recognized for having over two decades of professional experience as a Certified Hypnotherapist and Entrepreneur.  She serves her clientele as a Consultant, to promote a unique approach to wellness. The President of IAOTP, Stephanie Cirami, stated “Choosing Jo-Anne for this award was an easy decision for our panel to make.  She motivates her clients to help themselves through hypnosis. Her energy work is extraordinary and her desire to facilitate change for others is amazing.”

Jo-Anne began when she learned the Emotional Freedom Technique to clear her own childhood limitations.  Working with friends and family, she soon learned that “Everyone Has Stuff”. No matter how ideal your beginnings might have been, no one gets to adulthood without some limiting beliefs and experiences less than ideal.

Jo-Anne began to see clients individually and in groups empowering people to help themselves through learning this simple self-applied technique.  EFT neutralizes problems, not so you forget them, but so you have no emotional charge left to upset you.

Jo-Anne began to get more and more clients with sexual abuse in their past and so took a three-month training with the Sexual Assault Centre in her hometown.  Her interest lay in the Crisis Line which she worked on for 3 ½ years. When the demons of their own experience surface in the night, Women just need someone to talk to.  The Crisis Line was a wonderful way to practice rapport and listening skills.

Her own personal Counseling Business, she named “Power of Freedom” recognizing that with Emotional Freedom, you regain your own personal power.

Aside from her successful career, Jo-Anne is also a published author and sought-after lecturer, and educator.  She authored her book “Exhale Weight” based on her own personal journey with weight which uses common sense concepts for the emotional aspects of overeating.

Jo-Anne is currently writing a new book called “The Woman who slept in a Closet” which follows an abused woman through her 20-year marriage and answers the emotional questions on why woman stay.  She is collaborating with a woman whose story is compelling and written through her eyes and experiences.

Jo-Anne is also the Founder and Director of The Canadian Hypnosis Conference which is held annually in October in Ontario, Canada.  At the conference, hypnotists learn new techniques, meet new hypnosis colleagues, network and exchange ideas.

Jo-Anne is a current and active member with the Canadian Society of Dowsers. Looking back, Jo-Anne attributes her success to her perseverance, mentors she has had along the way, and staying passionate in all her endeavors.  When not working, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

She has been married for 55 years to her husband Brian and is a Mom of five children and Grandmother to 10 grandchildren.  Jo-Anne considers her family her greatest accomplishment in this lifetime. I have been blessed: I love what I am doing and hope to continue to inspire, empower, and to help others achieve their own Personal Power with Emotional Freedom.

Jo-Anne says she has been blessed; she loves doing what she is doing and feels this is just the beginning.  For the future, she wants to continue to inspire, empower, and help people anyway that she can.

“When someone walks out of my door feeling better than when they walked in, I am fulfilled”
