ST. LOUIS, MO.— HOLT Electrical Supplies recently hired Breana Jackson as its first full-time HR Generalist. Jackson brings years of experience in human resources to HOLT from her previous role, where she was a leader in the HR department for a global company with over 10,000 employees.
In her role at HOLT, Jackson will be fueling recruitment efforts, energizing the employee onboarding and training process, and identifying and executing overall system improvements, to name a few. She will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of benefits, employee relations, compensation, and other internal programs.
“Breana brings a tremendous amount of experience to our new role here at HOLT,” said company vice president Ryan Holtzman. “We are constantly evolving and this is a big step for us that signifies a new phase of growth for us.”
Jackson received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from The Ohio State University. Her studies led her to the field of human resources, where she is passionate about creating inclusive environments and eliminating the effects of unconscious bias in the workplace and beyond. In her previous role as an HR Generalist for a global organization, Jackson also served her team as a subject matter expert on employee benefits.
According to Jackson, what drew her to join the team at HOLT is the open, family-oriented atmosphere. “You rarely see the VP of a company call up employees just to check in and see how they are doing,” Jackson said. “HOLT clearly values its employees and already has the culture to succeed. I’m looking forward to supporting those efforts in my role.”
Jackson’s goals include bringing human resources best practices to the organization, in addition to creating a positive experience for HOLT’s employees. “I strive to make a positive impact on someone’s day, every day,” Jackson said.
In her spare time, Jackson still enjoys rooting for The Ohio State Buckeyes in college football games, along with her husband and two golden retrievers. A St. Louis native, you can also find her cheering on the St. Louis Blues and Cardinals during games.
