On Monday morning, 38 Spanish actors and actresses, chosen from over two thousand applicants auditioned for the gritty crime drama “Marked-The Unforgiven” at the Soho CaixaBank Theater owned by award winning actor, Antonio Banderas

This new television show, “Marked -The Unforgiven”, is scheduled to film in Spain in the first week of August in La Malagueta beach, Malaga Marina, the Plaza de la Constitución in Málaga, the Tabernas desert and Cabo de Gata in Almería, Spain. The show is about a California biker club adapted from the Amazon bestseller entitled “Marked” written by George Christie, former president of the Hells Angels of Ventura, California, and author of three best-selling novels.

The production was the brainchild of Sutish Sharma, a former BBC executive and CEO of New Street Pictures, Pinewood Studios, London, England, and Pat Andrew of Wanda-Halcyon Television, a former executive of Spelling Entertainment Inc. where he worked on the successful Melrose Place. Andrew was also a former personal assistant to Hollywood icon Sydney Korshak in California and was recently named one of the top producers to watch out for in Europe in 2020.

The Wanda-Halcyon Television production is enormously grateful to Antonio Banderas for introducing them to the incredible potential of Malaga and the television industry in Spain.

Laura Beltran Jimenez, Communications Manager for Wanda-Halcyon Television stated – “Allowing us to avail of the theater to hold auditions is something we are very grateful for and makes the audition process much more enjoyable for the actors. We are delighted to report that the Soho Theatre is as professional and beautiful as any theater in Hollywood”

The production company received more than 2,000 requests from Spanish actors in the first casting call. This first call was done online to be able to respect the rules of social distancing, due to COVID-19 as to do otherwise would have involved too large an agglomeration of people.

Only 38 selected actors were called to the final casting. Among those selected were actors known for participating in Spanish and international productions such as “La que se Avecina”, “Star Wars”, “Élite” and “Velvet” among others.

Sutish Sharma, one of the producers commented: “The quality of the Spanish actors, even acting in a language different from their own, is very high and the decision will be tough because there are many profiles that fit the roles perfectly. Once again, Spanish actors have set a very high standard.

Pat Andrew of Wanda-Halcyon Television will be travelling to Los Angeles to make a formal casting offer to a high-profile American actor to play the key character of Jack Crest in “Marked-The Unforgiven”. On the 24th of July, Mr Andrew will be meeting with two A-list stars to appear in “Marked-The Unforgiven” and in the hot Hollywood property “Corruption of Justice” written by Amazon best-selling writer George Van Mellaert.
