Hempitecture, a company focused on hemp derived biocomposite building technologies announced today its’ new company structure, Hempitecture Inc., a for-profit Delaware Public Benefit Corporation. Coinciding with the newly legalized status of industrial hemp as an agricultural commodity as authorized by the 2018 Farm Bill, Hempitecture is expecting explosive growth within the biocomposite green building sector and is poised to meet the demands of projects across the United States.

Over the next year, Hempitecture Inc. will diversify its’ product and service offerings. In doing so, the company will help accelerate the scalability of this natural building strategy to be more competitive within the marketplace. Through Hempitecture’s hands-on expertise and by leveraging key strategic partnerships, the company is set to be the industry leader in the space. The company will also have entity in registrations in strategic regional locations, including Idaho.
“Here in the US, we’re on the brink of a radical reconsideration of how our built environment should perform. Before, buildings were responsible for huge CO2 footprints. Now, with our process, buildings can be utilized for CO2 storage, with carbon dioxide being removed from the atmosphere and solidified in an insulating, non-toxic, and fireproof form,” said Mead.
