GREAT SUCCESS FOR BALSAMIC VINEGAR OF MODENA AT THE NYCWFF

10/22/2018 17:00 - DESENZANO D/G, ITALY - (PR Distribution™)

The Protection Consortium concluded its participation at NYCWFF
“Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, the Original” protagonist of the largest food and wine festival in NYC

The second participation of the Consortium for the Protection of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena at NYCWFF has confirmed the strong interest that the "Big Apple" has towards quality agri-food products. The Black Gold of Modena has been the protagonist of the eleventh edition of NYCWFF, considered one of the the most important events dedicated to food in the USA market, thanks to the project"Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, the Original ", co-financed by the European Union.

"Once again we have found incredible enthusiasm in our product”, said Federico Desimoni, Managing Director of the Consortium. "The Wine and Food Festivals represent for us an important showcase through which we can come in direct contact with renowned restaurants and acclaimed Chefs, but also provides us with the opportunity to interact with foodies interested in real authentic products of which Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, with its traditional values and its versatility, is amid the highest examples. "

During the festival, the Black Gold of Modena was one of the key players at Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits of New York Trade Tasting, hosted by Wine Spectator and presented by Beverage Media. The weekend saw Balsamic Vinegar of Modena present at the Grand Tasting organized by ShopRite featuring Culinary Demonstrations presented by Capital One®, the flagship event of NYCWFF that brings the best local restaurants in New York, the highest quality agri-food products in the world and the most sought after wines and spirits together in a location of absolute prestige.

The Consortium of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena was also a sponsor of the luxurious event NYCWFF Truffle Takeover, presented by Urbani Truffles at The Bowery Hotel, the symbol of style and refinement in the Lower East Side of New York. The Balsamic Vinegar of Modena was on this occasion perfectly reinterpreted by Brian Gonia, Chef de Cuisine of Atoboy NYC, a Korean restaurant with two Michelin stars in the Big Apple and Fabrizio Facchini, Executive Chef of Taverna Novo & Chef Partner of Urbani Truffles.

The eleventh edition of NYCWFF, “EAT. DRINK. END HUNGER.” has raised more than $11 million since its inception to benefit the hunger-relief organizations "No Kid Hungry®" and "Food Bank For New York City”. Over 55,000 gourmands, gastronomy enthusiasts, foodies and celebrities attended.

With the "Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, the Original" project, co-financed by the European Union, the Consortium aims to develop positive dynamics towards the US market and to raise informed purchasing awareness to get consumers to choose protected products over counterfeit and deceptive ones. In the US market the level of recognition of European Geographical Indication productions, such as Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, is insufficient and brand awareness is highly generic.
