On Saturday November 17, 2018, celebrities, industry professionals and invited guests were treated to the grand opening of Gearbox LA in Van Nuys, CA, successfully celebrating the newly renovated photography and event space with over 13,000 square feet of large open space. Immediately upon arrival, guests were welcomed by innovative cocktails decorated with Gearbox LA’s logo, performances by gymnasts of Fatale Factory and illusionist Riccardo Berdini, models wearing artistic designs by For the Stars Fashion House and live environmental music by violinist Lilia Valerie. Later in the evening, a live performance by Lexy Panterra easily caught everyone’s attention by performing on the venue’s prominent staircase.
Opening remarks were made by John Paul DeJoria and Angus Mitchell introducing the space which currently holds Angus Mitchell’s private car collection asking guests to fully tour the high-end amenities offered by Gearbox LA. This included the 1600 square foot photography cyclorama on the first floor with various lounge areas, a whisky bar and lounge on the second and a Rooftop lounge overseeing the LA skyline.
Other Celebrities in attendance included, Maye Musk, DJ Lucien, Savannah Kennick, Walter Emmanuel Jones, Pierre Abena, Riccardo Berdini, EMM, Evan Williams, Kinya Claiborne, Carlos Ramirez, Cadogan Price, Melanie Mar, Aundre Dean and more!
