Influenced by her mother, a double-board-certified family medicine practitioner and geriatrician, Dr. Arumala’s passion for medicine began when she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Cellular & Molecular Biology/ Genetics, and an additional Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Maryland. She received a Masters of Public Health from Mercer University School of Medicine, in Macon, GA, and a Health Administration Leadership Certification from the University of North Carolina.
In 2014, Dr. Arumala graduated from the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine with her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree. She went on to complete a Botswana-UPenn Partnership Research Fellowship in Gabarone, Botswana; followed by an OB/GYN Residency at Georgetown University and Medstar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC, 2018. Specialty trained, Dr. Arumala is a Certified Menopause Practitioner by the North American Menopause Society, Certified in Gynesonics Sonata Transcervical Ultrasound-Guided Radiofrequency Ablation of Fibroids, and certified in Acessa Laparoscopic Ultrasound-Guided Radiofrequency Ablation of Fibroids.
To keep abreast of the latest developments in her field, Dr. Arumala holds professional memberships with the American College Of Obstetrics & Gynecology (ACOG), American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), North American Menopause Society. American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. She is on the executive board of Texas Health Mansfield; Mansfield Women's Health Advisory Board, and is an Assistant Professor of OBGYN at the TCU-UNTHSC.
