Mitchell Lane’s classroom resources gain exposure in the school and library market
eBooks2go and Mitchell Lane Publishers, an educational publishing company based in Hallandale, Florida, have formed an eBook partnership to raise awareness around Mitchell Lane’s classroom resources. Nearly 1,000 titles will be converted into ePUB3 and Mobi formats.
“Mitchell Lane had been on our radar for a while,” said Leslie Chirchirillo, the business operations manager for eBooks2go. “Their strong nonfiction catalog covers unique subjects from African Okapis to cargo planes, and also gives children the practical life skills they need like how to prepare for a tornado.”
Prior to the partnership, Mitchell Lane’s digital resources were only available in a PDF format and that limited the publisher’s distribution network. According to Rachel Collin, the marketing director for Mitchell Lane Publishers, eBooks2go presented a golden opportunity to expand its market reach. Collin said, "We saw this partnership as a perfect fit to get our eBooks in the right platform and distributed through so many partners."
eBooks2go will distribute Mitchell Lane’s new eBooks to Apple’s iBooks, Baker & Taylor, Barnes & Noble, bibliotheca, Ebsco, eBooks2go.com, Google Play, hoopla, Kobo, Mackin, and OverDrive.
Although eBooks2go had the resources and channels Mitchell Lane wanted, the company’s attention to detail was what sealed the deal for Collin. “Our sales rep, Leslie, was very attentive to our needs and made the process easy for us to want to partner,” said Collin.
In the last three years, eBooks2go has made an aggressive push to become one of the premier distribution options for educational and children’s publishers.
