With having over sixteen years of professional experience as a Board-Certified Physician, Dr. Sorin has certainly proven himself as an extraordinary professional and expert in the Holistic Medicine field. Dr. Sorin is a dynamic, results-driven leader who has demonstrated success by incorporating conventional and integrative health care options for patients to achieve wellness. Upon receiving a life-changing diagnosis and successful treatment of colon cancer in 2007, he shifted his focus to the broad field of Holistic Medicine.
Dr. Sorin’s areas of expertise include Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine and Emergency Medicine. His Holistic approach includes pain management, anxiety, depression, chronic disease management and general wellness. He is actively involved in clinical research projects and scientific developments. Dr. Sorin is known for learning and sharing the most current, cutting-edge science and healing modalities as well as studying longevity, vitality, self-regulation, telomeres and the retraining of the Central Nervous System.
Over the course of his professional career, Dr. Sorin has maintained his work in the field of Emergency Medicine and Healthcare Consulting. He is involved with research and health related products and service development in association with Dr. Shealy and Missouri State University. Dr. Sorin holds workshops, holistic coach training and provides lectures and presentations in addition to his clinical work. He serves on the faculty of Holos University Graduate Seminary and the Graduate Institute in CT. Dr. Sorin also serves as an Advisory Board Member and is on the Institutional Review Board for Research Development at the Institute.
Dr. Sorin previously served as Medical Director at the Bath, NY VA Hospital and for several other organizations which include a Physician Weight Loss and Wellness Center, Tri-State Surgical Weight loss Practice and Delphi/Workfit Healthcare.
Dr. Sorin earned his Medical Degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center, College of Medicine. He has received his certification as a Monroe Institute Workshop Facilitator and was invited to join the Monroe Institute’s Professional Division. Dr. Sorin also holds Advanced Certifications in Healthcare Management, ACLS, PALS, ATLS and BLS.

He is the co-host of the 30-year Shealy-Sorin Wellness weekly radio show on KWTO in Springfield , MO. Along with Dr. Shealy, he has several upcoming patents and put together the 1st International Holistic health Summit, in Kansas City, Missouri.
As a published author, Dr. Sorin has written articles on nutrition, health and wellness and his work has appeared in various newspapers, media and also in scientific publications and articles including the Green County Medical Society and Peer Reviewed Scientific Journals.
