With having over 3 decades of professional experience as a seasoned and trusted Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Kuzma has certainly proven himself as an extraordinary professional, and expert in the field.Dr. Kuzma is a dynamic, results-driven leader who has demonstrated success not only as a President of Orthopedic and Hand Specialists of Greensboro, but in every position he has ever held.His impressive repertoire of prior positions held were Clinical Professor for Wake Forest Baptist Health, Hand and Microsurgeon for Asheville Hand Center, Past President of the Southeastern Hand Club, Past President of the North Carolina Society for Surgery of the Hand and President of the North Carolina Chapter of the American College of Surgeons.His areas of expertise are in hand surgery and microsurgery.
Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Kuzma has received many awards, accolades and has been recognized for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the profession. For 2019, he is being considered to be featured in TIP (Top Industry Professional Magazine), and was selected as Top Orthopedic Surgeon of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).In 2018 he was honored by the Global Who’s Who.In 2009-2010 he was named Best Doctors.In 1997-2007 Dr. Kuzma received the American Medical Association, Physician Recognition Award and in 1993 the Paul Harris Fellow.
Dr. Kuzma received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Fordham University in Biology, his Medical Degree from the State University of New York in Syracuse, his Internship at Charity Hospital in New Orleans and his Residency in Orthopedics at SUNY Upstate.Dr. Kuzma completed his Fellowship in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut and Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Looking back, Dr. Kuzma attributes his success to his education, mentors he had along the way and staying passionate in all his endeavors.He says his work is very gratifying and hopes that others will consider a career in Orthopedics.When not working, he enjoys traveling, fishing and spending time with his family.For the future, he hopes to continue making a difference in people’s lives any way that he can.
