CELEBRATING CHRIS CORNELL
Announcing the 2nd Annual Tribute Concert Celebrating Chris Cornell Chris Cornell (1964-2017) Tribute on July 20, 2019 (fan organized). Chris Cornell was the singer of 2 American Rock bands, Soundgarden and Audioslave, as well as a solo artist who wrote over 300 songs and received 3 Grammy's including one in 2018 for When Bad Does Good (posthumously).
All proceeds go to The Chris Cornell Music Therapy Program at Childhaven, in Seattle, Washington, an organization that incorporates music therapy, an effective treatment for trauma effected children. The Chris Cornell Music Therapy Program was established in 2017 by his widow in his memory.
Our Tribute Concert will honor his many contributions to music and society and feature incredible bands playing music from across his catalog. Organized by fans Bobbie Fink and Kristi Enigl to continue to raise money for Chris Cornell’s charities and provide an evening for his fans to gather to sing and play his music.
Our Fundraising Goal is a years’ salary for another full-time certified music therapist.
PERFORMING LIVE: Three Bands (playing music from Soundgarden, Audioslave, Chris Cornell Solo; and Pearl Jam)
Headlining: Ryan Quinn (The Voice finalist) Sings Chris Cornell with a Full Band – ONE NIGHT ONLY
Second Band: Vitalogy - A Pearl Jam Experience, bring Eddie Vedder’s primal yells and soothing baritone, to screaming solos and classic rock hooks, for the full Pearl Jam concert experience.
Opening: SoundSlave is Southern California's premier Soundgarden / Audioslave tribute band. Backed by a talented group made up of some of San Diego's most experienced rock musicians, lead vocalist Yolanda Johnston delivers.
