Calling All Students to “Keep on Dreaming in Challenging Times”, to tell their story:
Cinema Culturas’ Free Storytelling and Film Competition for K-12 Students Cinema Culturas Film Festival is inviting all students to participate in its “Keep on Dreaming in Challenging Times” Storytelling and Film Competition for K-12 Students. Students can write or film their story in English, Spanish or Purépecha on science and nonscience themes. The winning and semifinalist stories will be showcased online at Cinema Culturas, Summer, 2020.
The Student Competition for elementary, middle school and high school students seeks to promote diversity and inclusion through storytelling and film, encouraging students to be creative and resilient during challenging times and to imagine a bright future.
The competition is open to students in the U.S. and Mexico.
Deadline: June 29th, 2020
“Keep on Dreaming in Challenging Times” Storytelling and Film Competition is presented by Cinema Culturas and is being hosted by Dr. Judy. D. White, Riverside County Superintendent of Public Schools, Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE).
In collaboration with the University of California, Institute for Mexico and the United States (UCMexus), Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) and the City of Indio.
