stripped: DEO is an all natural, vegan and unisex deodorant formulated to keep your armpits – and the like – odour-free.
Our DEO is stripped of all things that are not necessary; chemicals, fragrances, alcohol, aluminium, salt, baking soda, essential oils, animal testing, etc.
The nine ingredients are: a patented ECOCERT micro silver* (main active ingredient), castor oil, hydrogenated castor oil, shea butter, almond oil, glycerine, sorbitane olivate, zinc oxide and bentonite clay. (*not to be confused with nano or colloidal silver, both which have dubious connotations.)
It is designed to naturally combat bacteria that causes body odour in the first place, instead of just masking it. It is effective for 2 to 5 days, even with showers in between.
stripped: DEO is owned by Elize Rowe, a user experience designer by trade with a post-grad degree in Psychology. She opened the very first edible cookie dough business in South Africa called Spoon It! and sold it 6 months later to focus on two other businesses in the works, of which stripped: DEO is one.
“I was battling depression and anxiety during a really tough time of my life and started to strip my life of all things toxic, harmful and unnecessary. A natural deodorant was one of these challenges and I tried a lot of ingredients and formulations before one worked for me. And so stripped: DEO was born."

Due to the minimum order quantities with manufacturers in the beauty industry, it was difficult to get the funds together to brand and market this product effectively. Therefore, I am launching a crowdfunding campaign with Indiegogo for worldwide distribution on 1 May 2019 to get the funds together. If I am successful, I will be kicking the manufacturing and production off immediately with suppliers that are already on board and the first orders will be delivered in September 2019.
stripped DEO is solely owned by Elize Rowe and is a registered private company in South Africa. The business was officially started in January 2019.
