Leonhardt's Launchpads has 15 products in clinical trials and 15 more in pre-clinical studies for bioelectric and biologics based organ regeneration and recovery and over 400 patent claims issued, pending, licensed or optioned.

Leonhardt's Launchpads by Cal-X Stars Business Accelerator, Inc. of Los Angeles announced today expansion into the life science incubator research lab facilities (Martin Laboratory Incubator) at LA BioMed with access privileges to BioLabs LA which is across the street.

Leonhardt's Launchpads founded in California in 2008 is an innovation accelerator focused primarily on bioelectric and biologics-based organ/tissue regeneration and recovery.

Over 500 patients have been enrolled in bioelectric and biologics based organ regeneration and recovery clinical studies thus far sponsored by Leonhardt's Launchpads founded startups.

Leonhardt's Launchpads innovations and startups are categorized in these focused groups https://leonhardtventures.com/development-pipeline/:

1.  Heart & Cardiovascular.

2.  Brain.

3.  Cosmetic and Reproductive Health.

4.  Major Organ Regeneration.

5.  Cancer.

"We are amazed at the resources available at the LA BioMed and BioLabs LA facilities and the adjacent Harbor UCLA Medical Center for translational research.  Our team looks forward to integrating with LA BioMed researchers in multiple bioelectric and biologics focused applications for organ regeneration and recovery," states Howard J. Leonhardt, Executive Chairman & CEO, Leonhardt's Launchpads.

Leonhardt's Launchpads has active collaborations with researchers at UCLA, USC, CalTech, Pepperdine, Pacific Neurosciences Institute and Hoag Hospital in the Los Angeles area and is a member of ScaleLA and SoCal Bio two local life science industry resources.

Dr. Robert Gelfand, a long standing LA BioMed researcher, and graduate of MIT, CalTech and UCSB biological sciences will serve as the Los Angeles Research Lab Manager for Leonhardt's Launchpads working at the newly dedicated laboratory location at the Martin Building Incubator at LA BioMed with limited access privileges to BioLabs LA across the street.

"I strongly believe in the convergence of precise bioelectric signaling for controlling regenerative protein expressions on demand and re-fillable micro pump slow infusion of stem cell-based mixed biological compositions for organ + tissue regeneration and recovery.  I am really excited to be joining this team that has pioneered so many great innovations over so many years at their new Los Angeles based research laboratory at LA BioMed" stated Dr. Robert Gelfand, Los Angeles Research Lab Manager for Leonhardt's Launchpads.

Leonhardt's Launchpads has strong working collaborations with Mettler Electronics and DeviceLab in Orange County, California, QIG Greatbatch in Santa Clarita, Fluid Synchrony in Pasadena as well as REV1 Engineering in Murrieta, California to advance product candidates in research and development.

"We are excited to welcome back a team that pioneered leading therapies with LA BioMed in the 1990s to now join our Martin incubator where they will focus on bioelectric and biologics based organ regeneration," stated Keith Hoffman, Vice President of Business Development and Technology Transfer at LA BioMed.

"It is great to welcome Leonhardt's Launchpads to the BioLabs LA affiliate membership program granting their R&D team leaders limited access to events and select facilities at our location directly across the street from the Martin Research Laboratory Incubator at LA BioMed where they will be based," stated Gary Olsem, Site Director BioLabs Los Angeles.

The Leonhardt's Launchpads innovation and startup accelerator business model is to accelerate each organ specific innovation through first in human studies and then seek a strategic partner/buyer to advance the development the rest of the way to commercialization.  Approximately five organ specific innovations and corresponding startups are set to be ripe for a strategic partnership each year for the next 6 years.

About Leonhardt Ventures:

Founded in 1982 as HJ Leonhardt & Co and formed into a LLC in 2005 in California (Leonhardt Vineyards LLC DBA Leonhardt Ventures) is the commercialization arm of inventor Howard J. Leonhardt with a focus on organ regeneration and recovery, food & beverage and social good impact startup creation and development. The Leonhardt team pioneered cardiovascular balloon catheters in the 1980's, stent grafts, biological pacemakers and percutaneous heart valves in the 1990s and since 1999 has focused on bioelectric and biologics based organ regeneration. In 2001 Leonhardt led a team that competed the historic first ever muscle stem cell based non-surgical repair of a human heart.  Over 500,000 patients have been treated with Leonhardt inventions to date - https://patents.justia.com/inventor/howard-j-leonhardt.
