Gérard Gouillou, President of MNC2 and MNC2 Technology, and Owner of Sports and Technology Partners Limited has been selected as Top International Business Owner of the Year for 2019 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the property development industry.
While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. With over 3 decades of professional experience in business experience and in Information Technology, Mr. Gouillou has certainly proven himself as an accomplished professional and expert in the field. As a dynamic results-driven leader, Mr. Gouillou has demonstrated success not only as an international business leader, but in every position he has ever held. His impressive repertoire of prior roles have included 15 years with the French Navy Air Forces where he logged nearly 4,000 flight hours; Manager of GESPER Development Team & Deputy COO of EDS France; in 1998 he was the International Relationship Manager for FIFA World Cup France for the French Organizing Committee. In 2000, he joined the International Football Federation as CIO. In 2001, following ISL bankruptcy, Mr. Gouillou took over the operations of ISL and chaired the Korean and Japan Joint IT Committee and delivered, in less than one year, a reliable IT solution over 24 Venues in both Countries that supported a very successful World Cup. He then created Sport and Technology Partners Limited (SATPL) in the US with the goal of providing consulting to the large sporting events and organization before uniting with the team that started Venue Solutions which was commercializing “Intelligent-Venue” systems employing smart-card technology in ticketing, parking control, access control, and cashless concessions payment to create a more secure, more efficient, more productive venue. He was in charge of the Technology for the new company. In 2006 he created MNC2 SARL in France, providing consulting and solutions to large sport events and ticketing solution for the sport community in Europe and in 2009 for football in Brazil. In 2009 he established MNC2 Technology in Malaysia to be the development arm of the suite of Software (SPACE™, SOAR™, FEAT™ and HMS™) and fan engagement solution such as FOOT FAN PAL™ MNC2 is offering to the organizers of large sports events. With MNC2 SARL France he is also providing management consulting, software development and IT transformation program with clients including Bridgestone, Fujitsu, Total, Mercedes Benz France, BT Global Services, SNCF or recently Alliance Automotive Group (subsidiary of Genuine Part Company).
Mr. Gouillou is a graduate of the University of Indiana Kelley Business School and the University of Michigan Business School. Mr. Gouillou also earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautics and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Sciences. The President of IAOTP, Stephanie Cirami stated that “Choosing Mr. Gouillou for this award was an easy decision for our panel to make. Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Gouillou has been recognized worldwide and has received many awards, accolades’ and featured in several publications. For 2020 he is being considered for a feature in T.I.P (Top Industry Professionals) Magazine, IAOTP’s Lifetime Achievement Award and for the Business Innovator of the Year Award by the International Association of Top Professionals. For 2019, he was named Top International Business Owner of the Year by IAOTP and will be honored at IAOTP’s Annual Awards Gala being held at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas.
Looking back, Mr. Gouillou attributes his success to his perseverance, mentors he has had along the way, attention to detail and his understanding of solving problems and ensuring results. Mr. Gouillou says he has been blessed and he loves doing what he is doing, and feels this is just the beginning. When he is not working he enjoys reading, and traveling. He is fluent in English, French and Spanish. For the future, he will continue to thrive as an entrepreneur and hopes to continue to make a difference in people’s lives anyway that he can.
